The River Rat By Paramount Pictures
The River Rat is an exceptional story, brought to life through
excellent performances against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery. After
doing thirteen years for a murder he didn't commit, Billy McCain (Tommy
Lee Jones) has little to be thankful for and even less to look forward to.
But fate and love intervene in the person of Billy's daughter Jonsy
(Martha Plimpton). Together, Billy and Jonsy restore an old boat, the
River Rat, and gradually pick up the pieces of their lives. But fate isn't
through dealing bad hands to Billy. His new peaceful life along the
Mississippi is shattered by violence, intrigue and murder.
