BaseballChronology.com
Page
not yet ready, sorry!
This page appears when I have not yet properly linked in a page. The
page that should be here will be here soon. Sorry for the
inconvenience.
You are on the first version (1.0) of our BaseballChronology
site. Note that we are aware that many links are broken and
that there are formatting issues with some stats pages. The major issue
right now is that the year/team pages (1884 Providence, for example) are
not up (though a sample of what the latter will look like is
available).
Update
March 25, 2008:
To live up to the site's name, I need a chronology. I am starting with
the 1840s and moving forward. The NABBP section is coming along with
dozens of team pages for pre-1870 teams. This will be the most
comprehensive coverage of these teams ever assembled. (See the Newburgh
Hudson Rivers page for a sample.)
Update
August 2, 2007:
The addition of yearly standings going back to the early 1850s is
nearing completion as is the name change from Super70s Baseball to
BaseballChronology.com. This site has far too much of value to true
baseball fans to be lost in the shuffle of Super70s.com, which is not
primarily a sports site. (Thanks to several of you for finally convincing
me of that.)
Update
May 11, 2006:
As promised, all of the so-called "financials" pages (payrolls,
individual salaries, fancosts,
valuations, income
& expenses, and more) for each season are now up with the
exception of the free-agents lists by year (coming soon!). You can get to
the financials pages from just about anywhere on BaseballChronology.com by
using the Financials link
on the far left of this page (in the green and beige box above left). So
nice that cut the number of broken links exponentially!
Update
May 10, 2006:
The payroll pages for each season are now up (1993,
for example). More financials coming soon...
Update
May 8, 2006:
All of the "missing" yearly team pages (1971
Baltimore Orioles or 1983
Kansas City Royals, for example) are posted though I still need to add
our pictures to such pages from 1970-2004 (though that work is done for
the Atlanta Braves; we have a photo on each yearly Braves page (1986,
for example) from 1970-2005).
Update
May 1, 2006:
Most of the "missing" pages will appear this week. This
includes all the team pages as well the year finance pages (such as 1991
Payrolls or 1995 valuations).
Update
April 18, 2006:
I have the yearly standings pages (1988 season
standings, for example) up right now. Need to get some of the pages
showing salaries and revenues up, and then I'll start the yearly team
pages after that. Site should be fully operational within a few weeks!
