The 1983 New York Mets went 68-94 and finished 6th in the National League East. The Mets drew 1,112,774 to Shea Stadium. Jesse Orosco made the All-Star team. Darryl Strawberry won the National League Rookie of the Year award. Gold Glove winners for 1983 included Keith Hernandez and Keith Hernandez.
