The 1968 Detroit Tigers went 103-59 and finished 1st in the American League. The Tigers drew 2,031,847 to Tiger Stadium. Bill Freehan, Willie Horton, Denny McLain and Don Wert made the All-Star team. Denny McLain was honored with the Cy Young award. Denny McLain won the American League Most Valuable Player award. Gold Glove winners for 1968 included Bill Freehan and Mickey Stanley.
