The 1985 St. Louis Cardinals went 101-61 and finished 1st in the National League East. The Cardinals drew 2,637,563 to Busch Stadium. Joaquin Andujar, Jack Clark, Tom Herr, Willie McGee and Ozzie Smith made the All-Star team. Vince Coleman won the National League Rookie of the Year award. Willie McGee won the National League Most Valuable Player award. Gold Glove winners for 1985 included Willie McGee and Ozzie Smith.
