Steven Weed

Steven Weed made the news in the Super70s as the live in fiancé of Patty Hearst. The 26 year old Weed, a graduate student in philosophy at UC Berkeley, was living with the 19 year old Hearst in Berkeley on February 4, 1974 when members of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) invaded the apartment, assaulted Weed, and kidnapped Hearst.

Weed had first met Hearst at a school where he taught math when she was sixteen. She moved in with him soon after she turned 18.

Steven later married and had two children. He sells real estate in the Menlo Park, California area.
