1977 OPC Baseball

With the addition of another team in Canada (the Toronto Blue Jays), O-Pee-Chee (OPC) had one more reason to produce bilingual baseball cards for the Canadian market. While this set is still smaller than its Topps counterpart, it also features cards that they American set does not have. For example, Topps has a "four to a card" rookie card for John Scott of the Blue Jays, which also features three other rookies (including Andre Dawson), but OPC has a separate card for John Scott. Sadly, they did not make such a card for Montreal Expo Andre Dawson.

The set is the first OPC baseball set to really break with Topps in the sense that around a third of the cards feature different photos or crops of the same photos verses the '77 Topps set.

Here's a checklist of 1977 O-Pee-Chee cards. A brief description of this set is here.
