1975 Standings
Here are the final standings for the abbreviated 1975 WFL season. You
can also view the league leaders, all-stars,
the playoffs, and the World
Bowl.
The "New" World Football League lasted for only 13 of the 18
scheduled weeks and held no playoffs or championship game. The league did
award Birmingham with the championship, based on the best record including
two wins over the team with the second best record (Memphis).
Notes:
* The playoff system was to reward
first-half season and second-half season divisional winners with playoff
spots. The San Antonio Wings and Memphis Southmen "won" those
spots with the best records in each division after nine games.
The Chicago Winds stopped blowing after a week six loss to Memphis.
