1974-75 WHA Season
By Patrick Mondout
The 1974-75 season was the third regular season of the now defunct World
Hockey Association (WHA). The league hastily expanded to a total of 14
cities with new clubs in Indianapolis and Phoenix. The Jersey Knights find
yet another new home in San Diego while another California-based team, the
Sharks, moved from L.A. to Detroit before moving midseason to Baltimore.
The Chicago Cougars fold following the season. The Houston
Aeros won their second straight AVCO World Trophies.
