This single-season sitcom featured Richard Crenna as Richard C. Barrington - a very conservative columnist in his late forties - and Bernadette Peters - a very liberal freelance photographer and Barrington's 23 year old girlfriend. The banter between the two on various subjects was the draw, but it wasn't enough to convince CBS to bring it back for a second term.
