Nanny and the ProfessorBy Dactyl
A non-apologetic rehash of Disney's "Mary Poppins", Nanny and
the Professor carried its own weight with its fans despite the
similarities.
Beautiful Phoebe Figalilly (Juliette Mills) shows up to help out single
dad Professor Harold Everett (Richard Long) and his three tow-headed
children. The writers did a fine job of making the audience often wonder
if the nanny was either deeply wise or perhaps an actual witch or mystic
as they had her sense out the families challenges and then 'magically'
solve them.
A charming family show from a great era.

As a motherless child, I loved Nanny and the Professor. Juliet Mills was a beautiful, enchanting Nanny -- kind of like Mary Poppins, but then again not. The dad (Richard Long) was always trying to be logical about everything, but Nanny showed her charges the magical side of things about love, caring and getting along -- all the things I didn't have at home. Ms. Mills and Mr. Long had really good chemistry. Kim Richards was a more adorable version of the Olson twins. Very sweet. --CinderMama | Note: This is just a random sample of the Nanny and the Professor messages in our TV forums! Click here to see what others have said or to post your own comments! |
