Get Christie LoveBy Anonymous
Get Christie Love was similar to other female cop series on TV in the
Super70s, but this was the first and only one with an African-American
woman in the lead role (and was created to cash-in on the Blaxploitation
film craze of the period, though Christie Love was very tame compared
to say Pam Grier).
Christie Love continued the proliferation of shows premiering in the
Super70s with women in roles once reserved exclusively for men. Therefore,
it was a risky contemporary program for its era.
Christie Love was easy on the eyes, and a sharply dressed police
detective. But, this was NOT a T and A series in the Charlie's
Angels vein. Christie Love used her brains at least as much as her
fighting skills to catch the bad guys every week. Like Angie Dickenson on Police
Woman, Christie Love was also an excellent role-model for future
female policewomen. Too bad this show was cancelled after only one season. |

I loved the heroic beautiful Theresa Graves. She was so pretty, sexy and nice powerful black woman. I am a fan of hers and fell in love with her as a pretty professional heroine detective. I like her moves on bad guys. She wears and kicks her super pantyhosed legs well. I would want her to protect me from harm! Christie Love, I Love You.
You are the best. --John Haslett | Note: This is just a random sample of the Get Christie Love messages in our TV forums! Click here to see what others have said or to post your own comments! |
