Lazarus SyndromeBy Patrick Mondout
The Lazarus Syndrome was a medical drama whose name comes from
the notion that doctors are omnipotent miracle workers. The series was
rather grim and had its share of fatalities. Louis Gossett, Jr. played Dr.
MacArthur St. Clair, a tall, very dark, and bald Chief of Cardiology at
Webster Memorial Hospital.
Despite the cool title, Lazarus lastly only slightly longer than
patients at Webster Memorial, getting itself declared dead by ABC just
over a month after it debuted.
