This show was on the cutting edge. Pryor showed that he was a true comedy genius. His first show had humor as well as pathos. The scene with Maya Aneglou will always stand out to me as a segue that has not been matched. After laughing at a drunk at a a bar, we see him return home and hear and view the pain of his mate.....Noone has ever topped the "statement" that was made in that scene. I can only say that Pryor was a genius. A man who took pain and made us laugh at it but still did not let us forget that it had its price. --Lyric | Note: This is just a random sample of the Richard Pryor Show messages in our TV forums!
