Your Memories Shared! |

"Back in 1973 I was 9 years old and playing in my back yard here in St. Louis. I remember it being cloudy and starting to rain, my mother was standing next to me and said we should go in the house because it was a storm coming this way. At that time I remember looking up at a plane that was flying over as I had done many times before, and to our amazment we saw a bright flash of lightning hit the plane, and you could here the engines start to fade, and the nose of the plane drop. We whent into the house and whitin a few minutes it was on the news that a Ozark plane had crased about 6 miles west of us, on new florissant road. My dad and my mom loaded me into the car and we drove out there, and I vivedly remember emergincy crews were already on the seen taking body's out on streatchers. I will remember that day the rest of my life. " --John Craven Jr |
