The 1980 Philadelphia Phillies went 91-71 and finished 1st in the National League East. The Phillies drew 2,651,650 to Veterans Stadium. Steve Carlton, Pete Rose and Mike Schmidt made the All-Star team. Steve Carlton was honored with the Cy Young award. Mike Schmidt won the National League Most Valuable Player award. Gold Glove winners for 1980 included Garry Maddox and Mike Schmidt.
